The Moderne

The Moderne is a 30-story mixed-use development with 203 market rate apartment units, 7,100 square feet of ground-floor restaurant space, and 14 condominiums. Started in the height of the recession in 2010 and completed on time and on budget in 2012, The Moderne was the first structure of its kind to be developed in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and paved the way for luxury apartment development across the country.

Stylistically, The Moderne is a reinterpretation of the Art Moderne movement of the 1920s and 1930s. This movement took cues from modern machines of its day (such as sleek ocean liners and locomotives), and from a general fascination with progress and forward thinking. The Moderne offers a full service 24-hour concierge, room service, private car service, key fob controlled entry, 24-hour fitness facility, community room, heated indoor parking, LEED-certified status with 100-year construction, bike storage, storage lockers, and pet-centric amenities. All units offer stainless steel appliances, hardwood flooring, granite countertops, and sound-proof construction.

Currently, The Moderne has been the recipient of ten awards, including 2012 Project of the Year and Residential Project of the Year in Midwest Magazine.
