Developer seeks $8.8M incentive from Fort Lauderdale for workforce housing
Affiliated Development is seeking property tax reimbursement incentives worth up to $8.83 million from the city of Fort Lauderdale to include workforce housing in a proposed apartment building.
The City Commission will consider the Affordable-Workforce Housing Ad Valorem Tax Reimbursement Incentive agreement with Fort Lauderdale-based Affiliated Development on Aug. 18. The developer has 3.76 acres at 400 Corporate Drive – the parking lot south of the Westin Fort Lauderdale hotel - under contract from Cranston, Rhode Island-based PFL VII LLC. The same company owns the neighboring hotel.
